WESTLAND JOINS TERA

TERA is pleased to announce that after collaborating on projects for almost a decade, we have agreed to formalize our corporate relationship with Westland Resource Group (Westland) of Victoria, British Columbia (BC) effective July 1, 2011.

TERA and Westland previously joint ventured on several cross-border pipeline projects including the award-winning Kinder Morgan TMX Anchor Loop through Jasper National Park and Mount Robson Provincial Park. The two firms share remarkably similar corporate cultures and high professional standards of quality and ethics. The decision to join the two firms corporately grew from a desire to provide our valued clients throughout Canada with an expanded range of services and increased capacity.

Our clients will benefit from our increased capability in land use planning, socio-economic and aboriginal consultation; unsurpassed experience with BC regulatory processes; and a stronger TERA presence in BC. Westland will continue to provide services from its Victoria office as a division of TERA.

Founded in 1985, Westland is a leading provider of environmental and socio-economic assessment services in BC with an impressive track record of permitting major projects including the Pacific Trail Pipelines Project, the FortisBC Energy Mount Hayes LNG Storage Project and the BC Gas Southern Crossing Pipeline Project. Westland has also conducted numerous environmental studies for BC and municipal government agencies and First Nations.
